The Flag: A Behind the Scenes Look

Postcards from ‘Stan to home.

Here’s a sneak peek at some images and videos from behind the scenes of Our Dad’s Flag. This started out as a fun idea requiring some felt, glue and postage. The people we’ve met and the places we’ve been – although via US Postal Service – it’s unbelieveble! What a great journey so far. Thanks for sharing in our project.

Although we’re still waiting on a few returns, ahem… (OK, you asked for it! Here’s a hint: starts with “O,” ends with “bama.”) and we’ve lost a few flags along the way we still keep packing up and shipping out! Our Mom’s learned important lessons about proper postage and handling (apparently by gumming up a few USPS sorting machines.) The kids are keeping busy by getting back to the cutting and gluing boards for more flags and our travels throughout the US in support of “Our Dad” and all those in the Armed Forces serving near and far.

We’re 1/2 year of deployment down and have 1/2 more to go! As you’ll see in this you tube video, we enjoyed Dad’s recent leave

Enjoy and thanks for reading about our family project in patriotism, Our Dad’s Flag! As we always remind readers – share our project with family and a few friends, better yet…a Veteran or two or more!
